Cash Out Day!
Calling all volunteers to help 2nd grade students cash out their DOJO points! You will be set up in the pod and students will come to you to exchange their DOJO points for a reward. Below is the link to our 2nd grade sign up page. Thank you so much for your help!
What is a "Mystery Reader?"
A mystery reader is someone who comes into our classroom to share a book with us. The person is kept a secret until they enter our classroom.
Who can be a "Mystery Reader?"
Parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and community members can be mystery readers. I would love to have someone from every family come in to surprise the students.
Mystery Readers
We are ALWAYS in need of these. :) Clerical volunteers can come in at anytime on the Thursday that they sign up for. Please just email Mrs. Shaffer ahead of time so she can have everything ready for you. Clerical work can consist of cutting, copying, laminating or putting upcoming projects together.
Clerical Volunteers
Literacy volunteers help during our workshop block on most Tuesdays and Thursdays. They often work with a small group of students in the hallway to practice skills we are learning through games and activities. Please plan to be here from 10:30 - 11:10am.

This month's Scholastic Book orders will be due by: Friday, May 5th. Whenever you login to Scholastic and use our classroom code Q4Y8B, and we will earn points to purchase new books for our classroom library. Not only do you get great books at reasonable prices for your family, we grow our classroom library in the process! If you would like to purchase eBooks online using our code, the purchase automatically downloads to your device!
